Methods For Inner Peace & Inner Healing

Morning routine-

Arise when rested, Drink water to rehydrate, toilet, morning bath, light exercise or stretching.

Posture-

Sit comfortably, hands apart. palms upturned.

Oxygenate The Body

Breathe deeply and rapidly through the nose until slightly light-headed ( avoid hyperventilating ).
Oxygenation helps break up tention and promotes settling down into deeper states.

Other breathing Options-

Alternate nostril breathing.
Using the middle two fingers and thumb of the right hand, alternately switch breathing out and in from alternate nostril, changing when lungs are full. Breathe out and in from the same side. Begin with rapid, deep breathing and gradually slow down. This integratess and balancess left and right hemispheres of the brain by stimulating alternate sinus cavities.

Sigh Breathing.
Everytime you breathe out, give a big sigh. With each sigh, let go of muscle tentions, let go of the activities of the mind and let yourself settle down to quieter states. Feel your body settle down into stillness. AAllow your body to release and realign itself. Be willing to let go of stresses, tentions, and blocks. Do not oppose releases as the arise. Let go of everything on the outbreath.

Ultra-Slow Deep Breathing

(immediately follows oxygenation)
Brings peace to the body and quiets the mind. Take 10-15 seconds to slowly breathe in a full breath. Without holding, take an equal time to breathe out. After a while, let go of counting- which becomes tedious and unnesessary.

Purification and Protection

Envision a waterfall of white light, a torrent of light coming down from above ( with golden sparkles if you like ). Allow this light to wash away all pains, all tensions, all anxieties, all stresses, all weaknesses, into the earth below ( the earth can recycle negative energies ). Wash away frustrations, anger, sadness, hopelessness, confusion, unworthiness-all limitations. See your body whole pure and filled with light.

Prayers and Devotions

Talking with friends in High places

The Universe is managed by non-physical intelligences. These include the omnipresent Creator of all that is, Archangels, Angels, Advanced humans in higher consciousness ( our elders and guides, graduates of the planet earth such as Moses, Buddha, Krishna, Jesus the Christ, Mohammed, Quan Yin ). You can talk with any of them. Ask for help, guidance, insight, and awakening. Ask to learn and understand your lessons. Be grateful and Thankful for the help you receive. Recognize there is greatness in yourself also, you have the same spark of divinity. They have gone ahead before you.

Going Inward

Withdraw you attention from the outer world of time and space. Place your attention 2-3 inches behind your eyes, in the center of your head, the region of the master controller glands, the pineal, pituitary, and hypothalamus. Let go of past, present and future. Continue with slow breathing.

Meditation into Silence

Meditation must be effortless to be deep and healing. The subtle art of meditation is achieved by the willingness to let go and allow yourself to sink into stillness. Effort doesn't help. only letting go helps.

Sound is an aid to meditation that allows the mind to let go more easily. Sacred sounds arise in all traditions. All vowel sounds have value. When we feel happiness or see something beautiful we say ahhh or oooo. These can be used to aid meditation. Repeat either sound mentally, slowly, and sweetly, as you allow yourself to let go. Breathe slowly until you forget about your breathing. Let go of all expectations. Be like a child. Gradually, body awareness disappears, you become as if hollw and empty. The outer world recedes. Continue with the sound and letting go into deeper and more silent states. Allow yourself to sink into stillness. Absolute silence and stillness is incredibly blissful and naturally draws you deeper without effort.

When going deep sometimes you hit blocks of stress, mental, emotional, or physical. When these tensions are released it can cause agitiation until the release is complete.

Symptoms of Release

Physical- pressure, pain, heat, or cold, twitching or jerking.

Mental- agitation, anxiety, impatience, absorbed in thoughts without realizing it.

Emotional- anger, sadness, lauging, crying, all emotions.

Sometimess settling down doesn't come easily because the process of release dominates, Instead of trying to force yourself deeper ( which doesn't work ), choose a breathing technique ( return to any of the precusors to meditation ) to help facilitate the release. Be willing to accept these releases as they arise rather than oppose them. Shift your attention to the dominating physical sensations and gently keep it there. This accelerates the release. When the agitation subsides, then return again to using your sound to settle into deeper states. Your body will eventually become so still that you cannot easily move and will not want to. Your mind will become saturated with deep peace and silence, and will not want to think.

At times you may dip into a state of no mental activity, sound, or sensory experience. When the mind lets go and we settle into pure silence, we arrive at the state of deepest healing and deepest connection with pure awareness, our innermost Self.
To end meditation, simply stop using the sound and nolonger choose to allow yourself to sink deeper into silence.

Inner Transformation

While still deep you may choose to redefine yourself through affirmation ( words ) and visualization ( pictures ).
While in a deep state of connection with silence, redefine yourself, recreate yourself be seeing and affirming yourself as you intend to be. See and affirm yourself healed. See yourself whole. Envision yourself with all the qualities you desire for yourself- wisdom, compassion, strength, health, etc.

Coming Back into the World

Take 5-10 minutes to come out slowly. Begin with deep breathing, move your hands. Surface gently before opening your eyes.

Taking time for your inner peace and healing is the most valuable time of your life. Schedule it. Establish a regular time and place. Spend at least an hour per day with yuour inner healing. 10% of your time can be devoted to inner life.
