Sigh Breathing.
Everytime you breathe out, give a big sigh. With each sigh, let go of muscle tentions, let go of the activities of the mind and let yourself settle down to quieter states. Feel your body settle down into stillness. AAllow your body to release and realign itself. Be willing to let go of stresses, tentions, and blocks. Do not oppose releases as the arise. Let go of everything on the outbreath.
The Universe is managed by non-physical intelligences. These include the omnipresent Creator of all that is, Archangels, Angels, Advanced humans in higher consciousness ( our elders and guides, graduates of the planet earth such as Moses, Buddha, Krishna, Jesus the Christ, Mohammed, Quan Yin ). You can talk with any of them. Ask for help, guidance, insight, and awakening. Ask to learn and understand your lessons. Be grateful and Thankful for the help you receive. Recognize there is greatness in yourself also, you have the same spark of divinity. They have gone ahead before you.
Sound is an aid to meditation that allows the mind to let go more easily. Sacred sounds arise in all traditions. All vowel sounds have value. When we feel happiness or see something beautiful we say ahhh or oooo. These can be used to aid meditation. Repeat either sound mentally, slowly, and sweetly, as you allow yourself to let go. Breathe slowly until you forget about your breathing. Let go of all expectations. Be like a child. Gradually, body awareness disappears, you become as if hollw and empty. The outer world recedes. Continue with the sound and letting go into deeper and more silent states. Allow yourself to sink into stillness. Absolute silence and stillness is incredibly blissful and naturally draws you deeper without effort.
When going deep sometimes you hit blocks of stress, mental, emotional, or physical. When these tensions are released it can cause agitiation until the release is complete.
Symptoms of Release
Physical- pressure, pain, heat, or cold, twitching or jerking.
Mental- agitation, anxiety, impatience, absorbed in thoughts without realizing it.
Emotional- anger, sadness, lauging, crying, all emotions.
Sometimess settling down doesn't come easily because the process of release dominates, Instead of trying to force yourself deeper ( which doesn't work ), choose a breathing technique ( return to any of the precusors to meditation ) to help facilitate the release. Be willing to accept these releases as they arise rather than oppose them. Shift your attention to the dominating physical sensations and gently keep it there. This accelerates the release. When the agitation subsides, then return again to using your sound to settle into deeper states. Your body will eventually become so still that you cannot easily move and will not want to. Your mind will become saturated with deep peace and silence, and will not want to think.
At times you may dip into a state of no mental activity, sound, or sensory experience. When the mind lets go and we settle into pure silence, we arrive at the state of deepest healing and deepest connection with pure awareness, our innermost Self.
To end meditation, simply stop using the sound and nolonger choose to allow yourself to sink deeper into silence.
